I haven't done THIS in awhile. But. I am now! So. YEAH.
I am watching Chuck right now. Only it's a COMMERCIAL. I cannot TYPE while Chuck is ON. It requires FOCUS. Must admire Zachary Levi and Joshua Gomez from EVERY POSSIBLY ANGLE while it is on! YEAH.
And. Umm. Not much has been happening. Just school, a trip home, and other things. I started teaching my friend Dana how to do a handstand today. That was good! ONLY. I think we will need a few more LESSONS. Yeah.
Ok. I am going to CUT THIS OFF now. Due to the fact that I have a feeling that this commercial break is almost over! haha

It is Monday (as Julia pointed out).
Hello!
Today has been pretty boring. YEP. I went to class and did homework and went to Mustard Seed (Bible study). I AM trying to do EVERYTHING on my to do list today! This does not usually HAPPEN, so it's rather exciting that it's actually sort of working.
Oh. An exciting thing (if by exciting, I mean SCARY) DID happen today. I emailed the Environmental Studies guy about changing my major to environmental studies. This is STRESSFUL because it's all "life change in a single email" ish. And I'm not sure if this is what I want to do or not. I DO know that I DO NOT want to be in business, but I do NOT know if I want to be in environmental studies. I am too interested in too many things! I don't want to LIMIT myself to only one! What about history and English and psychology and everything?? I've got to IGNORE the OPPORTUNITIES to take classes about all of THOSE awesome things in order to take loads of classes in this ONE awesome thing. Plus, I think I really hesitate about the whole lawyer career path thing because dreams die HARD. People say it all the time, but it's true. I've always wanted to be an author, but I feel like it'd be completely impossible to find time to write with a career as a lawyer and the family I want and everything. NOT that I am even GOOD at writing! SO I COULD NOT BE AN AUTHOR ANYWAY. But it's still something that I've always WANTED, and I don't like to feel like I'm completely ditching it. It's funny because everyone has always told me that I can do whatever I want to with my life, but they are WRONG. I CANNOT do whatever I want with my life! I cannot do the thing that I MOST want to do with my life (besides being a mother). It's lame, I say! But it's alright. I'll still write in my free time. It's just never going to be a career. I just have to get used to that.
ANYWAY. My refrigerator is being VERY NOISY. I put in a maintenance request today, so hopefully they will SEE TO THAT tomorrow. Because, honestly, it's driving me INSANE.
Oooh. The guy emailed me back! I'm meeting with him tomorrow at 3. OH DEAR. *panics*
Ok, there are more items on my to do list, so I'm going to FINISH THIS OFF now. Bye!

A Lazy Sunday
^That's what today was.
I slept in and went to churh tonight instead. Most of the time I like to go to BOTH morning and night things on Sundays, but this morning just DID NOT WORK OUT. But I woke up at 10:30 and did my laundry before the machines filled up, which was NICE. I've noticed that I NEVER see boys in the laundry rooms even though my dorm is now co-ed. CURIOUS, indeed.
Other than laundry, I just did some homework and things. Nothing too productive. I did manage to slip in a little bit of reading for fun (All American Girl). I plan to do a bit more before I go to sleep because I'm not QUITE tired enough right now.
AND. Yeah. Another week is beginning! I'm getting sort of homesick, and I'd very much like to go home this weekend. We shall see if that comes to pass or not.
ANYWAY. I will go now. Bye!

Sometimes I Turn My Computer Off
Hey!
I HAVE MISSED TWO DAYS! Oops! I kept turning my computer off at night AND THEN remembering that I have not yet blogged. It's a fail, to be sure.
Last night was...INTERESTING. I had my first ever Krystals! ALSO, I had my first ever experience talking to drunk boys. Like, REALLY drunk boys.
Dana and I got the Krystals and came back to our dorm, where we sat on one of the bench swings outside. So we were sitting there and talking and these two boys came up. And one of them was all, "Can we SWANG with ya'll?" Thick Southern/drunken drawl there. I would have been all, "NO!" but Dana was like, "Sure!" So they sat with us, and the second one was like, "My hand really hurts. I can't swing." So he wove his way over to this little brick structure that surrounds these bushes and sat on it.
And then he started telling us about he had punched a hole in a car because some frat boys told him that his cargo pants were gay. And now his hand really hurt. At one point, I turned to his friend, and I was like, "Your friend is more drunk than you are." And he was like, "I handle my liquor better than he does." And then later his friend was all, "It's not that I'm a lightweight. I drank all summer." Like THAT was evidence. And then there were these girls playing ping pong inside, and he was like, "Oh, there's a girl. I'm going to go get her." And I was like, "Good luck with that." And he was like, "DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?!" And I was like, "Zach something" because I'd heard him say it before. And he was like, "I'm ZACH F-in WALLACE!" (last name changed slightly...haha). And...YEAH. There was some other stuff, but that's pretty much the HIGHLIGHTS!
Anyway. The football game was fun today, but we lost. AND there was a storm, which is always awkward. We had to go inside and things. It was hot inside due to many people and no air conditioner.
So. I'll try to NOT forget tomorrow!

Nathan the Wise
The blog post title is the title of the play that I'm supposed to have read by 8:10 tomorrow morning. I am not done. And I am very tired. And I will be even more tired tomorrow when I have classes from 8:10 to 1:55. ALTHOUGH. I do get out of my first class 25 minutes early every week. SO. That's nice. I'll have a good little break there in which to eat breakfast. Or maybe I could sneak in a power nap or something. I don't know!

TIRED.
Hello!
I am TIRED. The tiredness all started last night when Dana stayed in my room until 3:30. AND we were supposed to meet to go to yoga at 7:30. AND I had to take a shower this morning. So I went to bed at 3:40 and got up at 6:40. I walked to the bathroom to take my shower, and I was WEAVING. I seriously COULD NOT walk in a straight line. I took my shower, and I got BACK into bed and texted Dana and was like, "I'm not going to make it this morning. I'm going to go back to sleep." And I proceeded to do so. I got a couple more hours in, which was nice. But I still only got 5 hours of sleep total.
And I just got back from the library, where I struggled through and got caught up on my Howards End reading. That was good because I was pretty behind.
AND. Yeah. Tomorrow will be quite busy with the homework. I DID go to the grocery today, so at least I'll be well-fed while I'm busy.
Oooh. Random story! I was walking back from the library a bit ago with my friends, and I TRIPPED and stubbed my toe on a rock (again with the not being able to walk when I'm tired!). And I said something along the lines of, "Ouch. That really hurt." And I sounded totally drunk when I said it, BY THE WAY. But anyway. I looked ahead, and there were these GUYS hanging in these hammocks that they'd strung up between some trees in front of the dorm. And one of the guys popped his head out of his and was like, "Are you ok? You just tripped." Which...umm...obviously I KNOW that I just tripped. That'd be like me looking at him and saying, "You're in a hammock." But instead of saying this to him, I just smiled and said that I was ok. I smiled because of the hammock thing, not because his clever witticism. hah
ANYWAY.
BED TIME!

I was almost hit by a couch.
Hello!
So. I drove back to school today, and I was almost hit by a couch! I will copy and paste my account of the experience from this thing that I wrote to my friends earlier today (because I am too lazy to write a whole new account).
Ok, so I was ALMOST to my exit to school. And there was this truck in front of me, to the left. It was pulling a trailer with a couch and a chair strapped in. I had noticed it earlier in the drive, and thought to myself, "What if one of those comes undone?" It was just one of those THINGS that you think while you're bored and driving to pass the time. So I was driving along a bit later and THE COUCH CAME OFF! And there was a BIG truck to my immediate left, and I watched it try to miss it with interest. It was in that sort of DETACHED way that comes when you're at the end of a trip and you're sort of in shock. Hmm. I don't know if that is an actual WAY since it doesn't happen that often, I guess. ANYWAY. I was watching the truck try to miss it, and then the couch started COMING TOWARDS ME! The thing was on WHEELS!!!! And it was seriously about to hit me! So I squealed and swerved slightly and SOMEHOW missed it! But I was afraid there was a car in the lane to my right that I hadn't seen and that I was going to hit THEM. But there wasn't, so it was ok. And then I teared up and MAYBE cried a little bit. Because, REALLY. What would happen to a person that HIT A COUCH with their car? What sort of accident would THAT cause? And how EMBARRASSING would it be to have your death be listed as, "Death by rolling couch." I mean. SHEESH. Anyway, I REALLY wanted to REPORT that STUPID person for not having their load tied down PROPERLY! I mean, someone could have been seriously hurt! And someone WAS seriously traumatized! I won't be able to drive behind people who have things strapped down anymore!
Alright! I need to get to sleep now because I'm going to yoga EARLY in the morning, and it is ALREADY early in the morning! Oh, dear. I think a NAP will be taken tomorrow!

Failing!
Hello!
I realize that all of my posts since I began this happy experiment have been complete FAILS! And this one is no exception. Tomorrow I will be driving back to school, and MAYBE once I'm THERE, I will have some GOOD blogs that are FUN to read or something.
...But as of now. I just want to take a book to bed with me and read until I can't keep my eyes open any longer.
So I'm going to go DO THAT!

It is still the weekend, so I am still at home. And I forgot to blog until now AGAIN. I am sadly forgetful.
Today was fun. We pretty much just hung out. Cooper (my sister's boyfriend's dog) and Toby (my dog) played together some. And we watched them do that. I've never really understood just standing around and watching animals for long periods of time. Which is why it was good that I had a book handy. I'm reading Work by Louisa May Alcott for my Women in American Lit class. I like it fairly well, but I was unhappy when I began to suspect that someone would be dying.
ANYWAY. I'm going to end this now even though it's really short AGAIN.

Easily Distracted
Hello!
I am HOME now for Labor Day weekend. I have this PROBLEM when I am home. I FORGET things like blogging everyday! While I'm at school, I set my OWN SCHEDULE. And blogging figures into that. When I'm at home, I'm part of the schedule of others, and blogging sort of gets LOST. Until late at night when I suddenly remember that I need to do it. Which is, you know, what just happened.
Tomorrow my best friend Julia is moving into school. GOOD LUCK, JULIA! I hope it is awesome and your roommate is awesome and the sadness is kept to a minimum! I can't wait to hear all about it, and I'll be thinking of you! :)

My best friend Julia is heading off to school. At home, she only has dial up Internet (I know, it's like the DARK AGES there!!). But at school, she will have SPEEDY Internet. Meaning she will be able to watch youtube videos without having to wait HOURS for the pleasure!
SO. The PROCESS!
Step 1: Create a youtube account.

Blogging the rest of the year?
Hey!
I just finished up BEDAugust over on Maureen Johnson's lovely ning, and I decided that I did not want to give up blogging everyday. So I have decided that I will attempt to blog until the end of 2010. My good friend Possum (aka My Canadian Twin) has been blogging through the ENTIRE year of 2010! And I thought it would be NICE to finish it up with her and everything. PLUS, this poor blogspot blog has been terribly neglected by me.
What is up with me today? WELL. I have had TONS of homework. I STILL have tons of homework, actually. I need to write a very short essay type of thing (only one page). Plus, I'm meant to have read nearly 100 pages for my Modern British Novel class which I HAVE NOT YET DONE. As in, I haven't even STARTED. And there's TONS of FREAKING accounting stuff that I'm EXTREMELY behind on and can't possibly catch up on by tomorrow. I loathe accounting, and I have a very bad habit of leaving it until the end and then leaving it undone.
ANYWAY. I should probably get to that stuff. SO. Bye!
